Xibaipo Hot Spring and Ski Resort is located in the village of Beimazhong (Pingshan county) near Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei province, 4 kilometers south of the Pingshan Hot Spring Tourism Resort, and a 10-minute ride from Bailu Hot Spring, also in Pingshan county.

This was Pingshan’s first ski resort and one of the largest and best ski areas around Shijiazhuang. It has an elevation difference of 158 meters, and has three different ski tracks -- primary, intermediate, and senior. Each track is 4,200 meters long and120 meters wide. The ski area covers 30,000 sq m and there is a 10,000-sq-m game area that can accommodate 2,000 people at the same time. The ski resort uses a pressure sleigh from Germany and snow blowers from Italy and the United States. The ski lift is 1,200 m long, on the senior track an carries skiers to the top of the track quickly.

The resort itself has three areas -- a service area, snow and ice entertainment area, and a leisure and recreational area. Its 8,000-sq-m multi-purpose hall has all the ski equipment you need, with 3,000 new sets of skis and 300 snowboards. There are other kinds of entertainment as well, such as snow tubing, snow cubing, and snowmobile riding, to meet the demands of winter sports fans of all levels and ages. Other facilities, such as the big dining room, hot drinks shop, ski equipment store, first aid station, and ski school provide even more services.

Xibaipo, the site of the Xibaipo Hot Spring Ski Resort, was always famous for its role in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression (1937-1945), but now is a popular winter tourism site for skiing, dining, and sightseeing, and can accommodate more than 5,000 tourists a day.
